What Longwave is

Longwave is a streaming platform for one original fiction series, Olivia Vlogs in Space. The first episode is free for everyone. The rest of the series, and the deeper archive around it, is for members who subscribe.

Your account

You sign up with an email address and a password. Keep your credentials safe — your account is yours, and one account is for one person. If an account is used abusively (harassment, fraud, attempts to break the platform), I can suspend or close it.

Subscriptions & billing

Payments are handled by Stripe. The current tiers are Receiver at $6/month or $60/year, Operator at $14/month or $140/year, and Founding at $48/year. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from your Account page. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for — no tricks, no early cutoff.

Founding Crew memberships carry the $48/year price lock promised at signup. The general price-change provision below does not apply to that locked rate.

Other subscription prices may change for future billing periods, and you'll be told before it happens.

Refunds

If a billing mistake happens — you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, anything like that — write to me and I'll fix it. Beyond genuine mistakes, there are no partial-period refunds: cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one.

The content

Everything on Longwave — the episodes, the characters, the images, the text, all of it — is original copyrighted work. Your subscription is for personal viewing. Please don't download, re-upload, or redistribute the episodes.

That said: short clips for commentary, reviews, and fan content are welcome, with credit. If you're making something and you're unsure whether it's fine, just ask.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape the site, try to hack it, share your account access with others, or circumvent the paywall.

Crew Signals & community posts

Eligible members can post comments and replies, and react to episodes and comments. Your public handle appears beside what you post. Ending a subscription does not remove past posts. While eligible, you can delete your own posts; you can always ask for your account and attached data to be deleted.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Longwave a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display, and format that material only as needed to run, protect, and moderate the service. This licence ends when the material is deleted, apart from limited backups and records that must be kept for safety, complaints, or legal reasons.

Keep the crew safe: do not post illegal material, threats, harassment, hateful abuse, sexual exploitation, another person's private information, impersonation, spam, advertising, malicious links, or anything you do not have the right to share. Keep episode spoilers inside the marked discussion area and treat other members in good faith.

Use the Report control on a comment if something breaks these rules or may be illegal. You can also email contact@raphaelurbain.com. I may review, hide, or remove content and restrict or close accounts when reasonably needed for safety, the law, or these rules. If you think a moderation decision is wrong, email with your handle, the episode, and the decision so I can review it.

A report will be considered, but reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome. Comments and questions do not guarantee a personal reply from the creator.

No warranty

Longwave is provided as-is. I aim for reliability and take outages personally, but this is a small independent platform, not a global CDN empire — occasional hiccups can happen, and the service comes without formal guarantees.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. If you keep using Longwave after a change, that counts as accepting it. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always tell you when the terms last moved.
